Community Projects - TSP "Doing Good"

We believe that no private enterprise works as an island. Every company exists within a larger community of clients, neighbors, and the world as a whole. So it's important that we do our part to be a participant in this community in every way that we can.

The participation has to happen on every level, from our customer relationships to global awareness.

Within the organization, there's the simple idea that we're here to help our clients, respect their information, and treat them with integrity. You should see that in every transaction that you have with our company. If not, you have the right to complain about our services, pricing, and company policies. That's a right that many companies forget about.

Within our neighborhood, we should help promote local business, create opportunities for entrepreneurs, and also help those in need by doing what we do best. That's what our free wireless network for Back Bay NewburyOpen.net and our founder's work for Wireless in Boston try to do.

Within the city, it's our duty to help sponsor those organizations that help people to understand what's going on around them and other non-profits that need a helping hand to help others. Our longtime sponsorship of WBUR, along with our innovative Community Service Program, were created with this intent in mind.

We're also avid supporters of regional athetic fund raising events that raise money for the fight against life changing disease. In 2001, company founder Michael Oh rode in the 270-mile Boston to New York AIDS Ride. In 2007, Michael rode the Pan-Mass Challenge to support the Dana Farber Cancer Institute's Jimmy Fund, and Team TSP, including Nate St. Germain, Michael Oh, Rob Kilburn, and organizer Ted Dillard, rode the Boston2Portland ride, which donated 100% of the funds collected to the Foundation for Neurologic Diseases.

Worldwide, we realize that we must take responsibility for the energy that we use and the waste we create. That's what our Recycling Efforts, Customer Recycling Programs, and Zero Carbon Initiative are about.

Our community programs aren't simply just about donating profits. They revolve around a fundamental belief that a company must do good while doing what they do.
