We're Tech Superpowers, a full-service Macintosh technical services provider located in Boston's beautiful Back Bay, and we're looking for a dedicated Mac Fanatic to add to our team of great Mac Consultants!
You are someone who thinks having Mac OS X Server running in your home is a "good start".
Are you:
Able to explain technology confidently to someone just learning the ropes?
Adept with bleeding-edge technologies, yet able to create real-world solutions?
Unafraid to fix things "the right way", not just the "official way"?
Able to adapt to a fast-paced (yes, that's another word for "busy") environment?
Psyched to see people doing great things with Macs?
Able to come up with great things to do with Macs (or other technology) yourself?
Would you like to:
Travel to interesting clients, meet interesting problems, and dispatch them?
Help customers decide on the right systems for their uses?
Keep up to date on the latest technologies, and implement them?
Then this might be a job for you!
The Person we're looking for:
Mac OS X: You have an In-Depth familiarity with Mac OS X internals & usage. A firm grasp of how the OS functions at a basic level.
Mac OS X Server: You should be comfortable setting up Mac OS X Server (10.4+) and setting up the services. You know the whole enchilada. Open Directory? No problem!
Networking: High comfort level and understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, Routers, switches and, Firewall software and hardware.
Apple Hardware: Solid knowledge of Apple Hardware Past & Present. You should be equally comfortable in troubleshooting a problem that's hardware as when it's software, with a firm grasp of the best and fastest ways to resolve a hardware issue - even when disaster strikes.
Ability to advance: Anything that you don't know how to do, you're aware of, and always ready to learn something new.
Windows & Unix: Windows/Unix knowledge is a plus, knowledge of Active Directory/Open Directory integration a bigger plus.
The Position:
• Full-time salaried position with benefits
• Travels to customer sites and doing hardware/software installations, training, evaluations. (Valid Drivers License required).
• Maintains a working relationship with customer sites.
• Provide customers with hardware/software/IT planning.
• Work with Sales/Service groups as needed to provide resources
• Planning & implementing large scale projects for customers.
• Staying abreast, or even ahead of technical trends.
• Research & Independent project research.
Intended Salary 40-60K/year BOE.
Intended Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time Position with benefits.
